## Review - Person and role: [textarea: What they do, how long they have been here] - What went well: [textarea: Specific examples, with the outcome] - What did not: [textarea: Specific examples, with the impact] - Goals set last time: [textarea: What was agreed] - Their self-assessment: [textarea: What they said about their own performance] - The outcome I am communicating: [textarea: Rating, or the message] Ground every single point in an example with its impact. General feedback gets disputed and cannot be acted on. Balance without false balance. Do not bury something serious between two compliments. Separate performance from potential, and both from whether I find them easy to work with. Address any gap between their self-assessment and mine directly. Development goals should be specific and within their control, with the support they would need.
