Code Review Request Packager skill for Claude and Codex
Code Review Request Packager as an AI skill. It asks for Change summary, Diff or file list, Tests run and 3 more, then does the rest. Free to install in…
Install it once and Claude or Codex runs it for you. When your request matches, your AI loads the skill, asks for anything it is missing, and works through the template itself. Prefer to fill it in by hand? See the full prompt template.

When it is used
Use when a finished change is about to go up for review and needs a clear request that tells the reviewer where to look. Do not use for answering review comments already received or writing the pull request title and body. Related topics: coding, communication.
What it will ask you for
- Change summary (longer free text)
- Diff or file list (longer free text)
- Tests run (longer free text)
- Risk areas (longer free text)
- Reviewer (choose one: Teammate who knows the code, Teammate new to the code, Outside maintainer)
- Review size (choose one: Quick skim, Careful read, Deep audit)
How it works
- Summarise the purpose and visible effect in one paragraph from the change summary and diff.
- Define scope in and out, so the reviewer knows what is intentionally missing.
- Give a reading order that names the first files to open and marks mechanical files as skippable.
- Report tests run and results and state plainly what was not tested.
- List known gaps and the specific questions where the reviewer's judgement is needed.
What you get
A one-page review request with sections for purpose, scope, reading order, testing, known gaps and questions for the reviewer.
What it watches out for
- Dumping the whole diff without a reading order, so the reviewer spends the first half hour finding the point.
- Hiding known shortcuts, which a reviewer then finds and trusts the rest less.
- Listing tests run without results, which leaves the reader unable to tell passing from attempted.
How to install
Claude.ai and the Claude desktop app
- Download the skill .zip.
- Open Settings, then Capabilities, and find Skills.
- Choose Upload skill and select the .zip.
