Browser QA Session Script skill for Claude and Codex
Browser QA Session Script as an AI skill. It asks for Bug report, Steps to reproduce, Environment and 3 more, then does the rest. Free to install in Claude or…
Install it once and Claude or Codex runs it for you. When your request matches, your AI loads the skill, asks for anything it is missing, and works through the template itself. Prefer to fill it in by hand? See the full prompt template.

When it is used
Use when a QA engineer or developer has a bug seen in the browser and needs it reproduced with evidence, a regression test, and a verified fix. Do not use for load testing or exploratory testing with no specific bug. Related topics: coding, technical.
What it will ask you for
- Bug report (longer free text)
- Steps to reproduce (longer free text)
- Environment (free text, e.g. "Browser and version and device")
- App URL or local command (free text, e.g. "Where to run it")
- Test framework (choose one: Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Testing Library)
- Test account type (free text, e.g. "Role only and never credentials")
How it works
- Follow the reported steps in a real browser while watching console and network, and vary one factor at a time if it does not reproduce.
- Capture a screenshot, console text, the failing request, and the minimal steps once the bug appears.
- Write a regression test that fails for the reason described in the report.
- Apply or review the fix and rerun the test until it passes.
- Rerun neighbouring tests and report results from before and after the fix.
What you get
A report with minimal reproduction steps, the evidence, root cause, the regression test code, and test results before and after the fix.
What it watches out for
- Writing the test after the fix, so it never proves it can fail.
- Testing in a browser that differs from the reporter's, then declaring the bug unreproducible.
- Asserting on an incidental element so the test passes while the bug still exists.
How to install
Claude.ai and the Claude desktop app
- Download the skill .zip.
- Open Settings, then Capabilities, and find Skills.
- Choose Upload skill and select the .zip.
- Ask Claude for help with the task. It loads the skill when your request matches.
Claude Code
- Download the skill .zip.
- Unzip it into ~/.claude/skills/ (or .claude/skills/ inside a project).
- Start a new session. Claude Code loads the skill when your request matches.
Codex
- Download the skill .zip.
- Unzip it into ~/.agents/skills/ (or .agents/skills/ inside a project).
- Codex picks it up on its own. Type $ and the skill name to use it, or just ask for the task.
Cursor
- Download the Cursor rule (.mdc).
- Save it in .cursor/rules/ inside your project.
- Cursor's agent applies the rule when your request matches its description.
AGENTS.md (Codex, Cursor, and other coding agents)
- Copy the AGENTS.md section.
- Paste it into AGENTS.md at the root of your repository, creating the file if needed.
- Coding agents that read AGENTS.md follow it when your request fits.
