Domain Glossary and ADR Keeper skill for Claude and Codex
Domain Glossary and ADR Keeper as an AI skill. It asks for Existing glossary, New terms or names proposed, Decision made and 2 more, then does the rest. Free…
Install it once and Claude or Codex runs it for you. When your request matches, your AI loads the skill, asks for anything it is missing, and works through the template itself. Prefer to fill it in by hand? See the full prompt template.

When it is used
Use when a project is adding terms or making a design choice that must be checked against existing vocabulary and recorded. Do not use for writing a general README or documenting an API reference. Related topics: coding, writing.
What it will ask you for
- Existing glossary (longer free text)
- New terms or names proposed (longer free text)
- Decision made (longer free text)
- Alternatives considered (longer free text)
- Record format (choose one: Short ADR, Full ADR, Glossary entry only)
How it works
- Compare every new term with the glossary and flag clashes, near-duplicates and synonyms.
- Challenge each new term for ambiguity and recommend reuse, rename or add with a one-sentence entry.
- Write the decision record with context, decision, rejected alternatives and consequences.
- Link the record to the glossary terms it introduces and any record it supersedes.
- Output the glossary changes and the record in the chosen format.
What you get
Updated glossary entries and a decision record with title, date, status, context, decision, alternatives and consequences.
What it watches out for
- Adding a second word for something the glossary already names, which splits the vocabulary.
- Recording the decision without the rejected alternatives, so it gets relitigated.
- Writing definitions that use the term itself.
How to install
Claude.ai and the Claude desktop app
- Download the skill .zip.
- Open Settings, then Capabilities, and find Skills.
- Choose Upload skill and select the .zip.
- Ask Claude for help with the task. It loads the skill when your request matches.
Claude Code
- Download the skill .zip.
- Unzip it into ~/.claude/skills/ (or .claude/skills/ inside a project).
- Start a new session. Claude Code loads the skill when your request matches.
Codex
- Download the skill .zip.
- Unzip it into ~/.agents/skills/ (or .agents/skills/ inside a project).
- Codex picks it up on its own. Type $ and the skill name to use it, or just ask for the task.

- Download the Cursor rule (.mdc).
- Save it in .cursor/rules/ inside your project.
- Cursor's agent applies the rule when your request matches its description.
AGENTS.md (Codex, Cursor, and other coding agents)
- Copy the AGENTS.md section.
- Paste it into AGENTS.md at the root of your repository, creating the file if needed.
- Coding agents that read AGENTS.md follow it when your request fits.
