# Interview Question Design

Questions about what they've done, not what they'd hypothetically do.

## How to use this skill

1. Ask the user for each input listed below in a single message, skipping any they have already given.
2. Where options are listed, offer them, but accept other answers too.
3. Fill the answers into the prompt template, then follow the completed prompt to produce the result.

## Inputs

- **The role and level** (longer free text)
- **What actually predicts success here** (longer free text)
- **Stage** (choose one: Screening, First interview, Technical, Final, Panel)
- **Time** (free text, e.g. "Minutes")
- **Where we have got hiring wrong before** (longer free text)

## Prompt template

Design interview questions.

- The role and level: {{The role and level}}
- What actually predicts success here: {{What actually predicts success here}}
- Stage: {{Stage}}
- Time: {{Time}}
- Where we have got hiring wrong before: {{Where we have got hiring wrong before}}

Behavioural questions about specific past situations. Hypotheticals tell you how someone imagines they would behave, which is not the same thing.

For each: the follow-up probes, and what a strong versus a weak answer sounds like so the panel scores consistently.

Include a work sample if the role allows one. Cut anything that tests interview polish rather than the job.
