# SEO Page Optimizer

Tunes one page for one search query: a sharper title, a meta description that earns the click, a heading outline, and internal links worth adding.

## When to use

Use this skill when a single web page needs its title tag, meta description, headings and internal links tuned toward one target search query. Do not use it for a full site audit, keyword research, or writing the page body from scratch.

## Workflow

1. Ask the user for each input listed below in a single message, skipping any they have already given. Where options are listed, offer them, but accept other answers too.
2. Compare the current copy to the target query and intent, and state in one sentence whether the page already matches what a searcher wants.
3. Write three title options under 60 characters with the query near the front, then pick one and say why.
4. Write one meta description under 155 characters that names a concrete benefit and gives a reason to click.
5. Draft the heading outline so the H1 mirrors the query and each H2 answers a follow-up question a searcher would have.
6. Propose internal links with exact anchor text, using only pages from the supplied list, and rank the fixes by impact.

## Inputs

- **Page URL or name** (free text, e.g. "Address or working title")
- **Target query** (free text, e.g. "The search phrase you want to rank for")
- **Search intent** (choose one: Informational, Commercial, Transactional, Navigational)
- **Current page copy** (longer free text)
- **Other pages on the site** (longer free text)
- **Brand name** (free text, e.g. "Appended to the title if there is room")

## Output

A short verdict, three title options, one meta description, a heading outline, a table of internal links with anchor text and target, and a ranked list of fixes.

## Prompt template

Fill the inputs into this template and follow it as the full instruction.

### SEO Page Optimizer

Optimise a single page for the query it should win.

- Page URL or name: {{Page URL or name}}
- Target query: {{Target query}}
- Search intent: {{Search intent}}
- Current page copy: {{Current page copy}}
- Other pages on the site: {{Other pages on the site}}
- Brand name: {{Brand name}}

Begin by judging whether the page answers the stated intent, since no title tweak rescues a mismatch. Then write three title options under 60 characters with the query near the front, and one meta description under 155 characters that promises a specific benefit and ends with a reason to click. Propose an outline: one H1 that matches the query, H2s that cover the questions a searcher has next, and H3s only where a list needs splitting. Suggest 3 to 6 internal links, each with the exact anchor text and the page it points to, chosen from the supplied site list only. Close with the three highest-impact fixes ranked by effort, and note anything that would be keyword stuffing.

## Pitfalls

- Repeating the query in every heading, which reads as keyword stuffing and weakens the page rather than helping it rank.
- Linking to pages that are not in the supplied list, which sends readers to URLs that may not exist.
- Writing a title that fits the query but misleads about the content, which raises bounce and lowers rankings later.
