# Voice Script and Transcript Cleanup

Cleans a raw speech transcript into a readable script or notes, removing filler and false starts while keeping what the speaker meant.

## When to use

Use this skill when a raw speech-to-text transcript from a talk, interview or meeting must become a clean script, notes or article draft. Do not use it for summarising a long recording to a few sentences or translating between languages.

## Workflow

1. Ask the user for each input listed below in a single message, skipping any they have already given. Where options are listed, offer them, but accept other answers too.
2. Read the full transcript and note the topic, speakers and tone before changing any word.
3. Correct recognition errors using the spelling list and context, and mark unresolvable words as [unclear].
4. Remove false starts and repeats, keeping filler only when asked, without altering any fact or number.
5. Shape the text into the requested result type, with paragraph breaks at topic changes and speaker labels.
6. List every unclear passage and every ambiguous meaning for the user to confirm.

## Inputs

- **Raw transcript** (longer free text)
- **Speaker names** (free text, e.g. "Names or roles or one speaker")
- **Result wanted** (choose one: Clean script, Meeting notes, Article draft, Subtitle lines)
- **Tone to keep** (choose one: Casual, Neutral, Formal)
- **Terms to spell correctly** (longer free text)
- **Keep filler words** (choose one: Yes, No)
- **Input 7** (choose one: unclear)

## Output

The cleaned text in the requested form, followed by a short list of unclear words and ambiguous passages needing the speaker's confirmation.

## Prompt template

Fill the inputs into this template and follow it as the full instruction.

### Voice Script and Transcript Cleanup

Clean up this transcript.

- Raw transcript: {{Raw transcript}}
- Speaker names: {{Speaker names}}
- Result wanted: {{Result wanted}}
- Tone to keep: {{Tone to keep}}
- Terms to spell correctly: {{Terms to spell correctly}}
- Keep filler words: {{Keep filler words}}

Read the whole transcript once before editing, so you know the topic and who is speaking. Fix recognition errors using the spelling list and context, and mark any word you cannot resolve as {{Input 7}} rather than guessing. Remove false starts, repeated words and filler unless filler is kept. Never add claims, soften opinions or change numbers, names or decisions. Split into paragraphs at topic changes and label turns by speaker. Match the result type: a script keeps the speaker's voice and rhythm, notes become headed bullets with decisions and action owners called out, an article draft joins sentences into prose, and subtitle lines stay under 42 characters with a natural break. Finish with a short list of every spot marked unclear and any place where the meaning was ambiguous.

## Pitfalls

- Guessing a name or number the recording garbled, which turns a transcript error into a published error.
- Polishing opinions into smoother statements, so the speaker is quoted saying something milder than they did.
- Merging two speakers' turns, which misattributes a decision.
