# Discovery Call Question Set

Questions that tell you whether the deal is real before you build a proposal.

## How to use this skill

1. Ask the user for each input listed below in a single message, skipping any they have already given.
2. Where options are listed, offer them, but accept other answers too.
3. Fill the answers into the prompt template, then follow the completed prompt to produce the result.

## Inputs

- **What I sell, and typical deal size** (longer free text)
- **Who I'm speaking to** (longer free text)
- **What I already know** (longer free text)
- **Call length** (free text, e.g. "Minutes")
- **What makes someone a good customer for us** (longer free text)

## Prompt template

Prepare me for a discovery call.

- What I sell, and typical deal size: {{What I sell, and typical deal size}}
- Who I'm speaking to: {{Who I'm speaking to}}
- What I already know: {{What I already know}}
- Call length: {{Call length}}
- What makes someone a good customer for us: {{What makes someone a good customer for us}}

Sequence the questions: their situation, the problem and what it costs them, what they have already tried, then who else is involved in deciding.

Include the ones that surface budget and timeline without it turning into an interrogation.

Most importantly, give me the questions that would disqualify a bad fit early. Those save more time than any closing technique.
