# Humanise Robotic Writing

Rewrites text that reads as machine-made into natural prose by cutting filler, varying rhythm and keeping every fact intact.

## When to use

Use this skill when a draft reads stiff, repetitive or obviously machine-written and needs to sound natural without changing what it says. Do not use it for checking text for plagiarism or detection evasion.

## Workflow

1. Ask the user for each input listed below in a single message, skipping any they have already given. Where options are listed, offer them, but accept other answers too.
2. Mark the specific mechanical habits in the original, such as stock openers, uniform sentence length and empty summaries.
3. Rewrite to the chosen strength, opening with the point and varying sentence length.
4. Replace abstract phrasing with plain verbs and one concrete detail where the original had several vague claims.
5. Compare against the facts list and restore any name, number or claim that changed.
6. Return the text with a brief change list and flag any sentence that could not be improved without invented detail.

## Inputs

- **Original text** (longer free text)
- **Where it will appear** (free text, e.g. "blog post or customer email")
- **Voice** (choose one: Warm, Direct, Professional, Playful)
- **Facts that must not change** (longer free text)
- **Phrases to avoid** (longer free text)
- **Rewrite strength** (choose one: Light polish, Moderate, Full rewrite)

## Output

The rewritten text in the chosen voice, followed by a short bullet list of the main changes and any sentences flagged as needing real detail.

## Prompt template

Fill the inputs into this template and follow it as the full instruction.

### Humanise Robotic Writing

Rewrite this text so it sounds like a person wrote it.

- Original text: {{Original text}}
- Where it will appear: {{Where it will appear}}
- Voice: {{Voice}}
- Facts that must not change: {{Facts that must not change}}
- Phrases to avoid: {{Phrases to avoid}}
- Rewrite strength: {{Rewrite strength}}

First mark what makes the text sound mechanical: stock openers, repeated sentence length, lists of three everywhere, vague intensifiers, empty transitions and summaries that restate the paragraph. Then rewrite to the chosen strength. Open with the point, not a windup. Mix short and long sentences, use plain verbs in place of abstract nouns, and prefer one concrete detail to three general claims. Keep contractions where the voice allows them. Remove every phrase on the avoid list. Check the result against the facts list and restore anything that drifted. Do not add facts, anecdotes or opinions that were not in the original. Return the rewritten text, then a short list of the main changes made, and flag any sentence you could not improve without inventing detail.

## Pitfalls

- Adding invented anecdotes or specifics to sound human, which puts false claims in the text.
- Swapping words for thesaurus synonyms while the sentence rhythm stays identical, so it still reads robotic.
- Over-casualising a professional piece until it no longer suits its reader.
